| Cornerstone Farm is excited to bring to you this year a Basic Horsemanship Clinic in partnership with Horse & Hound Country Store in Burlington and the Henry County Saddle Club in Mt. Pleasant. Trainer Greta Cummings will be holding three clinic sessions as hands on learning of the basics of the horsemans's world. The fourth clinic session will be a trouble shooting clinic where horse owners will be encouraged to bring their horses for some trouble shooting. Getting to know the Horseman's world will be held at Horse & Hound on June 7, 2008 at 4:00 pm and this session will be free to anyone wanting to attend. We will be discussing equipment, feeding, grooming, hoof care, yearly requirements and the horseman's lingo. Make sure you have the right horse (title subject to change) will be held at the Tom Taylor arena at McMillian Park in Mt. Pleasant on July 5, 2008 (a time will be announced in a few weeks). The cost of this clinic will be $10.00 per person. Kids 10 and under will be free! We will be discussing horse language, safety, matching horse and rider and buying a horse. Get in the saddle Will again be heald at the Tom Taylor Arena at McMillian Park in Mt. If you are wanting to bring a horse to this session the cost will be $60.00. We will be discussing when to find a trainer, things you can handle yourself and some other problems. The remainder of the clinic session will be working with the horses that have minor behavior problems. Trainer Greta Cummings will work with these horses and their owners as examples of how you can handle problems with your horses at home. So bring along a lawn chair and a notebook and come join us in learning about this magnificant creature we call the horse and support the Henry County Saddle Club! Half of the proceeds will be given to the Henry County Saddle Club, who will also be providing refreshements at the clinics heald at Tom Taylor Arena. Our goal is that everyone can have as much knowlege as possible about their horse so they may enjoy their relationship together. |
